Brett Young is giving fans the meaning behind his single, Mercy.

In the video he created, Young talks about the process of getting to know your co-songwriter first.  And upon doing that the word "Mercy" came up and a song about someone breaking up with you but still wants to be around all the time, pretty much stringing you along.
