Garth Brooks has selected a rising country star to be his opening act at an upcoming show on his Stadium Tour.
During an episode of his Facebook Live series Inside Studio G on Monday, the superstar revealed that Jon Pardi will be opening for him during his show at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 16.
Praising Jon's traditional country leaning sound, Garth compares Pardi to another country legend.
“Country is many different reflections of many different sounds...I hear George Strait in your music. I don’t know if that’s meant to be or not, but…thank you for doing it for me, as a fan," Garth shared with the "Head Over Boots" singer.
“There’s some Garth in there, too, man!” Jon adds.
Garth is set to release several more tickets to the Knoxville show, which serves as his final stadium show in 2019. The new batch of tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time. In the meantime, the country icon continues on his Dive Bar Tour with a stop at the Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, Ohio on October 28.
