Be the Cause is presenting its 7th Annual Walk for Hope, a reminder of the things that matter most in life, as a reaction to the infamous 9/11 tragedy. The 3 mile route is decorated with inspiring hand-made quotes and activity stations. The walk is free with free lunch, free T-shirt and live entertainment. There will be multiple non-profit organizations along the walk that may chose to donate to, but the Walk for Hope is a gift to you from Be the Cause.

Join us in the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Walk with us Cure Lupus Walkathon. You can participate by creating a team, walking, volunteering the day of the event or donating to a team or individual. 100% of the monies raised will fund research to prevent, treat and cure lupus. Last year Los Angeles raised over $70,000.00 to find a cure!
Lupus Facts:
- Lupus is a chronic, potentially devastating autoimmune disease in which the immune system turns against the body and can affect the joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and brain.
- An estimated 1.4 million Americans have lupus.
- 90% of people with lupus are women.
- Lupus is more common in African Americans, Latinos, Asians, and Native Americans than in Caucasians.
- There is no single lab test that can determine whether a person has lupus or not.
- There is no cure.
