SIMI VALLEY — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold its semiannual blood drive on Tuesday , Feb. 10, 2015. The drive will be 3:00 pm -7:00 p.m. at 480 Sinaloa Road, Simi Valley, Ca 93063. Sign up online at http://www.blood4life.org using sponsor code 8043 where reward points are given, "We are especially in need of O Negative donors this drive," States Cherie Whitaker, Blood Drive Coordinator " but we will take everyone. We also offer the opportunity for Double Blood Donors where by the plasma is returned, taking about 40 minutes, but less chance of it effecting you."

All blood donors need to feel 100 percent healthy on the day of their donation, drink plenty of water or juice and make sure they have something to eat before their donation time. Cholesterol testing is done with every donation. Youth 16 and over allowed (16year old age need ID and parents permission). Picture ID required on all donors.

All donors will be treated to a special Sub Zero Ice Cream treat offered by the local business in Simi Valley open at the Target shopping center on Madera & L.A. Ave. Sub Zero Ice Cream uses the science of cryogenics to freeze your ice cream instantly before your eyes! You really do have it your way, without all the chemicals. They offer, Soy Milk , Almond milk, Coconut Milk, dairy and non dairy mixtures with a multitude of flavors and additives. Other Valentine chocolate delectables are offered as a SweetHEART treat for "saving a life" with a Blood Donation.

Family orientated fishing event to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. This event includes all entry fees as well as lunch and more. All proceeds go directly to the PCF.org. This 3rd annual event is amazing for family, fun and memories. Come join us and enjoy a day outdoors.

Boots and Slippers Square Dance Club is proud to announce the
2014 - 2015 Beginners Class starts Sept. 8th, with a free Potluck Dinner (6:30pm) for those registering for Class.on that night.
Class at 7:30pm -9:30pm

Sept. 8, 15, 22 are free admission nights for Registration and Orientation.

This is a 40 wk. class

Bring your friends and Family...Learn a Modern Version of Our National Dance with current music taught by Dick Hodnefield.

Did you know that Square Dancing is great exercise....
It works the Cardiovascular system, Your Hand Eye Coordination gets a workout, not to mention all square dancers in dances have walked approx. 2 -3 miles.
